Teresa Shaft
Licensed Massage Therapist
Born and raised in Danville, I am returning to the area after living for 30 years in the Frozen Tundra of Wisconsin. In 2010, the positions I'd held in administrative support were no longer as satisfying as they once had been. I felt the need for a more rewarding career and chose massage therapy. After happily finding education nearly in my own back yard, I am a 2011 graduate of Blue Sky School of Massage & Therapeutic Bodywork in DePere, Wisconsin. The main focus of my education was relaxation and spa services.
My certifications include Prenatal Massage, Understanding Triggerpoints, Aromatherapy, Rapid Tension Relief, and Streto Method Total Body Stretch.
Having dealt with posture issues as well as jaw pain for most of my life, I specialize in shoulder, face, neck, jaw, and scalp massage, and well as hand and foot massage.
I love working with people of all ages to make them feel safe and relaxed for the time we have together. My goal for each of my clients is to ask clarifying questions, listen carefully, and together with them, develop a long-term relationship and plan to reduce pain, alleviate stress, and help them achieve an overall feeling of relaxation.
I am very quiet during sessions, and pair my massage with a warm table, dim lights and soft music. I consider a successful session one in which my clients fall asleep.
In my spare time I enjoy crafting, bicycling, going to the gym, traveling, watching my Packers, and hanging out with friends and family, including my two married children, their spouses, and my six grandchildren.
I am the proud daughter of a US Army Veteran who served in both WW II and Korea. In May of 2024 I was honored to be part of Old Glory Honor Flight Mission 67 out of Appleton, Wisconsin, where I was a companion for two Navy Veterans for the day as we toured our nation's capital.
I love to spend time volunteering at Fair Hope Children's Ministry in Danville.
