General/ Integrative Massage

General massage may incorporate techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and a variety of other techniques, depending on what your body needs.

These massages are tailored to your needs, and one part of the body can be worked on, or all, depending on your preferences and needs from day to day. For those new to massage, or unsure about this type of therapy, every accommodation can and will be made to ensure your comfort.

Bodywork should always feel safe and centered on you and your personal well-being, and there are endless ways to accomplish this. Clients’ comfort is of the foremost importance, and accommodations can always be made to increase comfort and safety, such as staying fully clothed, only working on one part of the body, and so on.

Our massage therapists are highly experienced in attuning to clients’ needs, and working at any client’s individual comfort level.

Myofascial Release

Fascia is the strong, connective tissue surrounding every organ, muscle and nerve in our bodies. We often hold tension or trauma (both physical and emotional) in our fascia, which creates areas of restriction.

Myofascial release is a technique in which the therapist focuses on these specific areas, stretching the skin and fascia to allow the body to let go of the restriction. Oftentimes, people report feeling more freedom of movement, less pain and tension, and a sense of relief and release.

Dry Massage

These massage techniques are done without the use of oil or lotion, which creates better traction for the massage therapist to release the binding of the skin and fascia.

This technique greatly allows for the therapist to treat deeper layers of tissue through traction on the skin. Dry massage is becoming increasingly utilized within the massage community due to its effectiveness.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage is similar to a general massage, but for expecting mothers. Pregnancy can bring about many changes in the body, and can lead to aches and pains in the soft tissue while your body is shifting and accommodating a growing baby.

Using pillows, blankets, bolsters and so on, your massage therapist can help find positions that are comfortable and safe for you and your little one!

Note: Client must be 12 or more weeks along to receive massage therapy, as per standard massage therapy guidelines.

Aromatherapy Massage

In Aromatherapy massage, essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts that have a variety of health benefits. Each oil has unique uses, and specific oils or a combination of oils can be used during this massage to address your unique needs.

These oils are inhaled or absorbed into the skin, creating an additional healing mechanism during your massage.
