Objectives:
The goal of this course is to define and discuss nutrigenomics, its impact on personalizing recommendations for healthy lifestyle modification, and the potential for future implications. After taking this course, you should be able to define: nutrigenomics; identify the areas of impact for health promotion; identify ways to personalize patient treatment plans.

When someone you care about is struggling, it can be hard to know what to say or do. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a supportive, practical training that helps you recognize the signs of mental health and substance use challenges in adults and respond with confidence and compassion. You’ll learn how to start a caring conversation, offer reassurance, and connect someone to appropriate help.

Kids and teens don’t always have the words to explain what they’re going through but the adults around them can make a powerful difference. Youth Mental Health First Aid is a practical, encouraging training that helps you recognize the early signs that a young person may be struggling and respond in a calm, supportive way.

Join us for an in person training in Danville, IL from 12pm-1pm once a month on the last Friday of each month unless otherwise specified! 1 CEU will be offered at each Lunch and Learn. CEUs are available for social workers, professional counselors, nurses, and nurse practitioners licensed in Illinois. Presentations are held at DACC at Bremer Center.
