Mental Health Intern
Rayne Abernathy, BS currently serving as a mental health intern at our clinic in Covington, Indiana, specializes in providing care for individuals of all ages and couples. She holds an Associate’s degree in Human Services and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, both from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is presently pursuing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Driven by her personal experiences with mental health challenges and the difficulty of finding the right counselor, Rayne is passionate about helping others receive the care and support they need. She is committed to being a reliable resource for those seeking assistance.
Rayne hopes to form a foundation of trust so that a client feels safe and comfortable sharing with her. Rayne explains, “I want to allow a client to feel open to sharing and discussing, so that we may be able to better find solutions and work together towards healing.”
In addition to her role as an intern, Rayne is also part of the
Community Action Program of Western Indiana, a nonprofit organization that serves six counties in Indiana, including Fountain county. As a receptionist at this office, she enjoys the opportunity to interact with clients from various parts of the service area.
Outside of her professional life, Rayne has a deep appreciation for art and music, finding them to be instrumental in maintaining her own mental health. Additionally, she loves to cook and bake, and spend time with her two cats!
