Kathleen Wirth-Couch, MS, LPC
Mental Health Therapist
Kathleen Wirth-Couch is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has spent much of her life helping people feel supported, encouraged, and understood. With more than 25 years of experience working in schools and counseling settings, Kathleen has walked alongside children, teens, adults, and families through many different seasons of life.
Kathleen understands that reaching out for counseling can sometimes feel uncomfortable or even a little intimidating. Her goal is to create a space that feels relaxed, welcoming, and free of judgment. A place where you can take a breath, be honest about what you are going through, and know that someone is truly listening.
Her background as a teacher, school counselor, academic advisor, and mental health therapist has given her a special appreciation for the challenges children and families face. She understands how stress at school, changes at home, relationships, anxiety, and uncertainty about the future can affect the whole person. Kathleen enjoys helping clients sort through what feels overwhelming, recognize the strengths they already have, and develop practical tools that can make everyday life feel more manageable.
Kathleen grew up in the area and has spent much of her career serving individuals and families throughout the Champaign County community. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Upper Iowa University and her master’s degree in School Counseling, Advising, and Clinical Counseling from Eastern Illinois University.
Kathleen believes that everyone deserves to have someone in their corner. She is excited to join the Two Roads Wellness Clinic team and looks forward to welcoming clients into a safe, friendly space where they can feel heard, supported, and hopeful about the road ahead.
