What Client Are Saying . . .
What is Behavioral Health Coaching?
Coaches are wellness professionals who specialize in helping you make concrete changes to your life.
By identifying areas where you are “stuck” or feeling disconnected and dissatisfied, life coaches can help you generate achievable goals and move closer to the life you want to have.
A coach can partner with you without passing judgment. They can help you perform at your fullest potential professionally, personally, and financially — such as helping you with your relationships, career, health goals, communication skills, debt, and spiritual growth.
Coaching appointments at Two Roads are 45 minutes, and can involve an individual seeking treatment, couples, families, and more!
Why Hire a Life Coach?
Change, grow, make progress in any area of your life. It's about changing habits, personal accountability, mindset, intentionality.
Changing what you do, the way you do it, and acknowledging the reasons behind your current habits.
Wanting something different. Fully understanding that: doing what you've always done and expecting different results is actually irrational.
You are in the driver's seat. Your goals, your path, your life. We just hold the mirror up.
How is Coaching Different from Therapy?
While the two services can often have similar approaches and outcomes, Coaching often focuses on concrete goals, personal empowerment, motivation, and strategies for change. Oftentimes you may hear that coaching focuses on where you are going, while therapy focuses on where you have been. While either service may focus on the past or present, there is less “processing” that occurs with coaching, and more “doing.”
Note: For those struggling with severe mental health struggles or active substance abuse, therapy may be the better option. If you ever have any questions about what service is right for you, simply contact our front desk staff and they will guide you in the right direction!
What is the End Goal of Coaching?
Coaching focuses on turning awareness into action - empowering clients to build balanced, purpose-driven lives grounded in faith, wellness, a n d personal responsibility. It is not a substitute for therapy, but a vital next step that turns insight into sustainable change.
When is Coaching an Appropriate Next Step?
Clients are usually ready for coaching when they are:
Ready to transition from therapy into action and implementation.
Stable and functioning but want to sustain or expand the progress made in therapy.
Seeking accountability to maintain habits or boundaries developed in counseling.
Needing ongoing support between therapy sessions for consistency and confidence.
Desiring a faith-based or values-driven approach to daily life challenges.
Navigating major life transitions (grief, career change, parenthood, marriage).
Focused on personal growth in self-esteem, relationships, or emotional regulation.
