Alison Crooks, LCSW

Mental Health Therapist

Alison Crooks, LCSW is a mental health therapist at our University Avenue clinic working with individuals and families. Alison’s specialty includes children ages 3-12 for play therapy, as well as adolescents and young adults. 

Background & History

Alison has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Integrative Biology and Master of Social Work specializing in schools. She has witnessed first-hand, the significant need for quality mental health services for children and young adults in her work over the last four years.  

What it is like to work with Alison

Alison desires for clients to feel safe and to develop a trusting relationship. She accomplishes this with a person-centered approach where she provides a safe non-judgmental environment for clients to explore themselves honestly. Alison works with clients who are seeking support in the following areas but not limited to: ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, chronic stress, trauma, individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, and school issues/behavior.

In her free time, Alison enjoys yoga, cooking, and loving animals.
