James (“Jim”) Russell, LCPC

Community Outreach Specialist

 James (“Jim”) Russell, LCPC, brings decades of experience and a lifelong commitment to helping others to his role as a Community Education Specialist. With a Master of Science in Counseling and a professional background that includes ministry, counseling, and substitute teaching, Jim’s career has always centered around service, compassion, and connection.

Jim is certified as an instructor in both Youth and Adult Mental Health curricula and provides education to the community in a variety of ways including presentations, lunch and learns, community events, and corporate wellness support.

Deeply connected to his community, Jim has volunteered as an EMT with Bismarck Ambulance and spent years coaching youth sports. Outside of work, he enjoys history, reading, and taking family vacations. He is proud of his family’s strong ties to education, two sons and two daughters-in-law work in the field, and his granddaughters are also building their own paths in education and beyond.

Jim brings warmth, experience, and a steadfast dedication to helping others learn about mental health and recovery.
