Bridget DeLorenzo

Practicum/Internship Student

Bridget DeLorenzo is currently completing her master’s degree in Clinical Counseling at Eastern Illinois University and is excited to be serving clients at our Champaign location. With a deep passion for helping people feel truly heard and understood, Bridget brings warmth, empathy, and a client-centered approach to every session.

As a lifelong athlete, Bridget has a special heart for supporting athletes through the unique mental and emotional challenges they face. However, she enjoys working with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences and hopes to grow her skills across a wide range of therapeutic needs. She believes the foundation of effective counseling is a trusting, comfortable relationship, and she strives to create a welcoming environment where clients feel safe to explore whatever is on their minds.

Bridget has been actively involved in the Champaign-Urbana community through her work coaching youth soccer at Soccer Planet, St. Thomas More High School, and Illinois FC. This experience has shaped her passion for helping young people grow both personally and emotionally.

She incorporates a client-centered approach in her work and also utilizes solution-focused techniques when helpful. Bridget welcomes the opportunity to work with individuals, couples, and families—and can offer Christian counseling upon request.

Outside the clinic, Bridget enjoys going to the gym, spending time in nature, watching movies, and relaxing with her cats.

She looks forward to walking alongside clients of all ages as they pursue growth, healing, and clarity.
