Betsy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker focused on a holistic approach in treatment, collaborating with clients to assist them in identifying areas of struggle in their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. She offers her clients the opportunity to explore their concerns in a productive environment, seeking to help them better balance each aspect of their health to promote an overall increase in their quality of life. She also utilizes a variety of techniques in her practice, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, though mainly provides an eclectic approach in treatment, making it individualized to each client.
Betsy has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Greenville College in Greenville, IL, and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has volunteered and worked with adults with developmental disabilities, individuals with serious mental illnesses, substance misuse, homelessness, hospice care, depression, and anxiety since 2010. She has also worked extensively with the veteran population, with a specific focus in PTSD treatment. Betsy enjoys working with those who have a history of trauma, depression, anxiety, substance misuse, relationship distress, and spiritual concerns.
